Petrol driven machines: Must have their oil levels checked daily. Water levels on water cooled models must be checked every time before use. Tyre pressure and condition must be monitored. Oil drive chains daily. Because of vibration and use these extreme machines must be checked daily and any loose bolts and fittings tightened Proper maintenance is vital for the safe use and long life of these products.
When first using a new machine it is vital to change the oil after the first hour and every 4 hours afterwards to prolong engine life.
Maintenance
Before riding your product for the first time check all joints, hinges and brakes to make sure that it is assembled properly and securely.
Tyres should be fully inflated at all times as riding with tyres not fully inflated will reduce speed and battery charge.
Battery Powered Products
The length of battery charge will depend on a number of factors, weight of the rider, terrain and motor power in watts. The average battery will charge approximately 350 times and should take about 4 hours to get a full charge.
Batteries work better when kept in a warm dry environment - in colder temperatures products should be kept indoors to prolong battery life.
The cost of electricity involved in charging is very little.
Petrol Powered
Fast Petrol Powered Scooters and Carts must be checked every day for loose bolts and fittings. Tighten every bolt properly before use.
The correct mixture of petrol and 2 stroke oil must be used in 2 stroke engines.
If neat petrol is used in such engines it will be Damaged beyond repair in minutes.
Tyres must be pumped to the proper pressure.
Brakes must be checked daily.
These products are NOT for use on a public road.
Full Revs must not be used for the first three tanks of petrol. This is VERY important.
4 Stroke Machines require a minimum of 2 hours gentle use i.e. running in. Very Important. On any quad always bring it to a full stop before selecting reverse from forward or visa versa.
